Deep Signal

Last updated 28 August 2026

The short version. Deep Signal has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. Your game progress is a file on your own device and is never uploaded anywhere. The developer receives no personal information about you at all.

Two Google services are the only exceptions, and both are optional: ads, which you can decline or remove permanently, and purchases, which are handled entirely by Google Play.

Who this is about

Deep Signal is a game published by an independent developer. This policy covers the mobile app and this website. There is no other service, no account system, and no login.

What the game stores on your device

Your progress — instruments, upgrades, Signal, bonuses, the anomaly catalogue, your settings, and a record of anything you have purchased — is written to a file in the app’s private storage on your device.

That file never leaves your device. It is not backed up to any server run by the developer, it is not shared, and it cannot be read by other apps. Uninstalling the game deletes it.

What the developer collects

Nothing. There is no analytics SDK, no crash reporting, no telemetry, and no code in the game that sends information to the developer.

The developer does receive aggregate, anonymous reports from Google — how many people installed the app, how many purchases were made, how much ad revenue accrued. These contain no information that identifies you.

Advertising

The game offers an optional rewarded ad: if you have been away, you can choose to watch one to double that session’s offline earnings. Ads are never forced, never shown on launch, and nothing in the game is locked behind one. Declining costs you nothing.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect and process information including your device’s advertising identifier, device and operating system details, coarse location inferred from your IP address, and how you interacted with the ad. This data is handled by Google, not by the developer, and is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

Your choices. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with equivalent rules, you will be asked for consent before any ad is requested. You can change that choice at any time from Settings → Ad privacy settings inside the game. You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier in your device’s own settings, or buy the one-time unlock described below to remove ads entirely.

Purchases

The game offers one-time purchases: an unlock that removes ads and permanently doubles offline earnings, and optional content packs. There are no subscriptions and no consumable currency.

All payments are processed by Google Play. The game never sees, handles, or stores your payment details — no card number, no billing address, nothing. It only asks Google whether a given product has been purchased, and records the answer in the local save file so that what you bought keeps working offline.

Refunds and billing questions are handled by Google Play, since that is where the transaction happened.

Children

Deep Signal is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect information from children. Because the game collects no personal information at all, there is nothing held about any user, of any age, to delete.

Your data and your rights

Because the developer holds no personal data about you, requests to access, correct, export, or delete your data have nothing to act on. Everything the game knows about you is in the save file on your own device, entirely under your control:

  • Delete everything by uninstalling the game.
  • Reset your progress from Settings → Reset all progress. Purchases survive a reset, because you paid for them.
  • Withdraw ad consent from Settings → Ad privacy settings.

For data held by Google as a result of ads or purchases, use your Google account controls — the developer has no access to it and cannot delete it on your behalf.

This website

This site has no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, and no embedded third-party content. It is static pages. Your hosting provider may keep standard server logs, as every web host does.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially — for example if the game ever began collecting something it does not collect today — the date at the top of this page will change and the updated policy will be posted here before the change takes effect in the app.
